How We Met:

It's time to come clean! We may or may not have told you the
complete truth about how we met. Not that it's a juicy story or
laced with scandal, sorry folks. We met on match.com! We were
both in predominately male/female industries and just weren't into
the whole meeting "the one" at a bar. Thus Emily, with the
encouragement of her friends, made a clever, witty, and charming
profile. Meanwhile, Jon's mom went ahead and did a search of the
ladies for her son who had not brought home a girl to meet the family
in over 7 years. She encouraged him to just "take a peek! What could
hurt!" (Thanks Phyllis!) So he did, and he came across Emily. Thanks to
her clever, witty, and charming profile--not to mention her adorable pictures of Lily meow meow--he rushed home to create a profile so he could meet the girl who quoted Dumb and Dumber and posed with a fat white cat. We met, had an awkward first date, had a much better
second date, and we have been inseparable ever since. We have already experienced so much together...family get togethers and holidays,
vacations to Mexico, stressful fieldworks and graduation, packing up
and moving to sunny California, and welcoming our new addition
to the family, a french bulldog named Charlie! We can't imagine
having these experiences with anyone else and are so excited
to make it forever in front of all our loved ones and friends!
